Assignment Task

a) Critically examine ONE significant macro-force* that has shaped the competitiveness of the aviation industry in the MENASA region over the last 3 years.

b) With reference to the force identified in (a), examine whether this force has/can contribute to the growth of Turkey’s aviation sector and its overall competitiveness.

* A macro-force is a specific event / activity that has a significant impact upon a country/provider/sector.

Marking Criteria

Introduction – To include the chosen Macro Force under consideration that is aligned with both MENESA and Turkey. This section could also include an appreciation of regional and country competitiveness. (10%)

Part a) A discussion of the chosen significant Macro Force from various standpoints, and its influence on aviation competitiveness within the MENASA region. (35%)

Part b) An examination of the chosen Macro Force’s contribution to Turkey’s aviation sector and overall competitiveness. (40%)

Conclusion – A summative section that collates the most significant points made in both Part a) and b). (15%)
